turnaround times and last day for 15% off and a free diaper
16 Aprtoday is the last day for 15% anything in my etsy store and any custom order. here is the info from my previous post: right now i am offering a 15% off coupon code to anyone who places a custom order with me within the next two weeks. the code can be entered at checkout as “15off” without the quotes. and what is the incentive you ask? if you place an order and tell a friend to place and pay for an order and sign up for my newsletter, YOU will receive one free diaper of any kind with free shipping. just email me when you know the order has been placed and i will confirm this and that they have signed up for the newsletter [just provide their name and email address so i can confirm]. then i will email you back and you can tell me which diaper you would like for free.

i have received a lot of orders and there’s only one of me, so here’s the break down when it comes to custom shipping times:
orders placed between 4/6-4/12 will go out this week
orders placed between 4/13-4/14 will go out next week
orders placed between 4/15-4/16 will go out at the end of next week or the following week
orders may be completed and shipped sooner depending on order size and how quickly i get through them, of course. a lot of people ordered lights out diapers which require hemp. i’m running pretty low on hemp fleece right now, so i ordered more last week.
if you have any questions regarding your orders, or if you think you referred someone who placed an order and you haven’t heard from me about receiving a free diaper [that incentive ends today, remember!], please email me with your order number and if you can, their order number. i just don’t want to miss anyone. and don’t worry, if you placed an order and refer someone today and don’t hear from me today, it doesn’t mean you won’t get the free diaper [or cover, if you should choose]. i will get back to you. the sale/incentive program just ends today.

the difference between knit and woven fabrics
4 Apras most of you know, knit fabrics stretch and woven fabrics do not. when i buy prints for people to choose from for custom orders, i almost always buy woven fabrics, not only because i prefer working with them but there’s always an awesome selection from my wholesalers. because i choose to work with wovens [and have for many years], i have designed my patterns specifically for woven fabrics. so when placing an order, do not feel like you have to choose a knit fabric [i don't have many choices], because you think the diaper won’t fit properly. the pattern has been designed to compensate for the lack of stretch in woven prints. so if you see a print you like, please choose it. if you choose a knit fabric, the pattern will still work, but these patterns are made for wovens and will fit just as well.
with the orders that i’ve received most recently, i’ve seen people leaning towards knits only. i’m not sure if this is because someone has said that knits are the best fabric for cloth diapers, but i’ve found that the high-quality quilting prints i purchase hold up well to fading, pilling and because of my pattern design, will fit like a knit would. of course, every baby is different and every pattern does not work for every baby. but i haven’t had complaints from people who have purchased woven prints from me.
so please, choose a print you like and don’t worry about fit! my job is to make sure that the fabrics that i have on hand will work when it comes to size and fit in a cloth diaper – and that’s exactly what i’ve done.

2 Aprwe’ve stocked some “welcome home, baby!” newborn cloth diapering starter sets in the etsy store. there are two gender neutral sets, one boy set and one girl set. all of the diapers are size newborn and are serged and snapped in colors that match their newborn cover counterparts. here are some photos of the sets.
all sets are size newborn esbasic fitted cloth diapers and three size newborn lights out covers. the diapers and covers correspond with matching snaps and thread colors. the covers in this set are all “lights out” covers, which means they are perfect overnight covers but are also great during the day. they won’t wick or leak as they’re made from 2 layers of PUL.
as with all of our products, we strive to be as creative as possible when pairing snap, thread and PUL colors together. this set is a perfect, unique started set for your cloth diaper stash.
